Dr. Loudon was born and raised in California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Utah. During his time there, he conducted research on eye development at the Moran Eye Center.
He went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in optometry school, Dr. Loudon was awarded the prestigious Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Army.
After graduation, Dr. Loudon served over three years of active duty, providing vision care to soldiers, retirees, and their families in South Korea and North Carolina. Following his military service, he gained experience in both private and surgical practice settings.
In 2018, Dr. Loudon joined Eyecare Center and has since worked across various locations. He and his family reside in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he enjoys spending his free time exercising, hiking, camping, traveling, and being with his family.
