Dr. Melissa Cuan, OD, FAAO, grew up in Yorktown Heights, New York. She attended Binghamton University for her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology. She then went on to attend the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry earning her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2013.
Dr. Cuan has completed an optometric residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease at VA Hudson Valley Health Care System in Montrose, NY. Dr. Cuan then joined the VA Connecticut Healthcare System as an Optometry Attending.
Dr. Cuan continues pursuing new technologies and ideas by participating in a number of clinical organizations. She is a member of the American Optometric Society, North Carolina Optometric Society, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She recently moved to North Carolina with her husband and they are enjoying exploring new restaurants and meeting new people.
